I have a `69 roadster race car here (NOT my #1) and am thinking about selling the new L-88 (big buck) radiator out of it. Now I did a search on "universal radiators" and am wondering what everybody`s core support looks like at the bottom?? This one has two brackets sticking out with holes in them and the radiator has two pieces of tubing built into the bottom of it that fit the two holes (straight down). How are you (with early cars) mounting the rediator?? At the top all there is, is what looks like a sideways piece of tubing and a single bracket. Inquiring minds (mine) want to know!!

I dont have pic's but I do the best I can to describe my 71BB.
I am using a BeCool rad' (its the biggest one they have).
The support brackets are the same/simlar for the top and bottem. The Rad sits in 2 "U" shape brackets that runs front-to-back. There is a rubber "liner" inside the "u" bracket to dapen viberation on the rad'. The Rad itself has an extra 1/8 tall x 1/8 wide x 3" deep (same depth as the rad) metal "ridge" that wil sit inside the rubber "liner" on all 4 corners of the rad.
I hope this helps

Re: universal radiator/ core support (71'AirStrike)
Airstrike,
This core support has the brackets in further and a round hole (in each) for the two pins on the bottom of the radiator to sit in (in rubber I assume). But thanks for looking. ...redvetracr
