Rear Spindle Spacing
Are new rear spindle spacer kits usually needed when replacing the bearings, or do the factory shims and spacers often fit the new bearings and cups? Seems to me that if the bearing dimensions are all the same, the original spacers and shims should still fit correctly. I have the mock up tool for measuring.

The original shims and spacers will have wear on them. Add to that the bearings seat and loosen once driven. The shim kits come in increments of 003" which is not enough to really dial in the bearings. I have found the spacers out up to 005" from being parallel.
