I believe the polygraphite bushings have graphite impregnated (correct sp/term?) in the bushing to reduce squeaking. The graphite is released when the bushing is rubbed and this lubricates it. Not sure if you have to apply a lubricate to them or not when you install them. Guess I would to be safe.

Fevre's right. Energy Suspension BLACK POLYURETHANE have graphite in them ... as do all PolyGraphite Brand. ES COLORED POLY Do Not have graphite. Prothane brand Poly Does Not use graphite at all. Apparently, any POLYURETHANE Front Control Arm BUSHING needs lube ... whether graphited or not ... apparently molded-in graphite not too effective as self-lube. It's also rumored that molded-in graphite decreases metal-poly bond strength ... this not an issue with any ES front CA bushing because those POLY bushings aren't bonded anyway. So, I installed ES BLACK poly front CA bushings assembled with ample silicone lube. Also installed COLORED ES poly motor mounts because the metal-to-poly bond strength is supposedly better without graphite. BTW, factory GM front CA bushings are RUBBER (not poly) and they are fully metal-to-rubber bonded and should not be lubed.

Are these going to require periodic re-lubrication- thus requiring disassembly?

This is my only objection to using poly bushings.

You can actually tap the poly bushings with a zirk fitting and grease them with silicon that way.

May be a stupid question, but does that really work? I would think the grease wouldn't flow around the entire bushing, if you understand my meaning. It doesn't weakent eh bushing too much? Sounds like a great solution though. Any other info would be great.
