Need help! What is this ?? 74 corvette

Hello all,

so I am wondering what this is that is hanging from the underside of my car near the driver side rear quarter. Pictures are included in the post so please take a look at them. Does it have something to do with the alarm system? Thank you for any help

Looks to me like possibly the ground plate and connection for the radio antenna.

Yep, so the car does not have an antenna on the driver's side rear fender?

Yes...looks like an antenna wire and ground plate. Goes up against the antenna mast from the inside. Here is a picture of my old one (1968) without the cable attached.
