Default intake manifold bolt

I have a dart block, AFR heads, and edlebrock RPM Airgap

To install the bracket for the throttle and TV cable, I will need to remove an intake manifold bolt, and replace it. (the bolt is on driver side closest to the firewall.)

The engine is newly built.

Can I pull the intake bolt and install my bracket and re torque to 25 FT pounds?

Is there water behind the bolt? oil? do I need to use thread sealant?

Default to be safe

pull out the bolt, stick a thin solid wire into the bolt hole, if it goes real deep(inch longer than bolt) then yes for sealant. dart blocks are supposed to be blind holes so the wire should stop and bottom out, but this will let you know for sure

makes no difference whose block; intake bolts thread into heads only.
get a small tube of permatex #2 ... pull bolt ... clean it well ... reinstall w/ P#2 & retighten ... if you can get a torque wrench on it good luck

and yes there's water at each end of both heads ... and most heads' intake threads open into oil-rich lifter valley
