Rear End Ratio Date Code
2AP8 20 68W
This is the way its stamped in the normal spot just in front of the Gasket surface between the rear Cover. This is one of those that really isn't done the way its supposed to be done according to the book. So I'm dropping the 2 as an unknown, the AP as 4:11 Ratio ( I have turned the driveline and verified ). I'm using the 8 as August. 20 as the Day, 68 as the Year, and W as Warren. In other words a 411 ratio that came in a 1969 car. Anybody reading this differently ? In a perfect world this would be the original in a 1963 Coupe. I don't see this happening.
