I currently have 15 year old tires on my car and need to get new ones. I have 225/70r15s on the car. Without changing rims what are my options. Also, what kind of tire should I get. I am looking for a good tire for a daily driver.

Re: Tire selection (scottw)
I put 225/70's on my car when I first got it....wanting to stay with tthe original type of tire size. After last weekend though, I regreteed it and the reason is cornering.
I got my tires because I like the Firestone Indy logo and the RWL sidewalls. But that heavy car, though it corners REALLY well at slow speeds really does not do well on mountain roads. Or at least not as well as it COULD :smash: with an H rated tire.
Look and you'll see my thread from last weekend after chasing a late model Z-28 through the mountains last saturday.

I am riding on Dunlop GT Qualifiers, 255/60R15. It's a good tire for the money, and for a daily driver. Dry traction is good, wet is always a problem. I have the good fortune of having some great curvey roads and I think the handling is excellent!

I replaced my Dunlop's with Pirelli Scorpion Zero's in 255/60VR15 on my 15 X 8 Ralley wheels. They handle great and are very good in the rain.
I purchased them from http://www.tirerack.com for around $85 each plus shipping. They are listed as a "sport truck tire". This will give you a slightly stiffer sidewall which helps with the handling.
