Thought for you, once you get close or the best you can get, and I am thinking you are going to paint it, just fine tune your body gaps (and matching surfaces) with VPA or Vette Panel Adhesive.

the hood and hood surround have a different height of curve at that point. the hood is stiffer. it is usually right. take a jack. put it under the nose with a little piece of 2 by 2 lumber or anything about 2 feet long straight up to the rear headlight mounting piece. the one makes all the rivet holes. put the wood about between the 2 vacuum switches. raise it a little. see? now. your and many people have a car that needs a new additional nose brace from the top of the horse shoe to the center of that headlight support. an adjustable one. so somebody needs to design one. another one for air tank to the same point on 73-up.

Thanks for the picture. Looks like the bolt hole at least matches up from the bracket to the header bar. Right now I would have to put about at least 1/2" of shim behind the bracket were the two bolts are to get the top bolt hole to line up. Maybe I will just make new brackets or weld an extension onto the new ones I bought.
Your frame and bird cage look like they are in great shape. You will have a awesome car when done.
Thanks, I have had to put a lot of work into the birdcage and I still have some more to do. That is main reason I took the front clip off in the first place was to get better access to repair. I am hoping I am done finding more surprises and can get the car back together.
Wheels are CCW classic's with BFG Rivals. 295's in the rear and 275 in the front. I wanted to go wider, but I have been hesitant to pull the trigger on doing fender flares. I guess it depends on how serious I get with track days and auto crossing.

I did this last night and got them to match pretty good! I still have to bond the support brace in this area, so I will keep this support in there when I bond it to help hold the shape.
i assume the headlights are not installed? test fit front bumper. you got some room with the frame extensions, but you are moving the rad support around. is nose bonded on yet?
