Default Castor question please

I finished my front suspension work and replacement parts good all the alignment is good Front rear toe camber...
I have the last thing on my list is the caster.
so if I’m doing it right I am laying out the car jouncing the bumper two times as the manual says. turning 20° Left the last 20° to the right and the difference between those 2×1.5 = degree with my stock 15 inch wheels give me my degree of castor.
measured twice with ipad method and about 0.3 left and 0.7 right resolution repeatability .
average drivers side
.7 pos right turn
1.5 pos left turn
0.8 difference x 1.5 = 1.2 degrees

passenger
0.3 neg left turn
2.8 pos right turn
2.8 x1.5 = 4.2 degrees

spec is pos 2.4 degrees +/- 1/4 degree
cross castor 1/2 degree spec...

sooooooooooo...

i hear many say most positive you can..im surprised i have so much on passenger side..
it drives excellent point and it goes..steering seem tight...and does not self return to center but steers easy but firm...which i think sounds like pos castor..

adjust passenger side less castor? Or leave it..and add some pos castor to drivers side by moving 1/16 shim from front to rear? To get drivers side more in spec?

thank you..

79 manual

My greased vinyl

Po looks like added front shims as only non stock shims..camber perfect 0.8.

Ok..moved the drivers side 1/8 shim from from to back..
now im at neg 0.3 driver..exactly same as passenger side left turn
right turn pos 2.4..about 0.4 lower the passenger side..
-3 + 2.1= 2.4 x1.5 3.6 degrees..drivers side 4.2 passenger..
0.6 cross castor a hair higher than spec..but im ok withit..

so is it ok to run that high caster? Inspection criteria says 4.25 max...
still ok on no more than .4 inches shim pack difference, and a lot of thread left..

test drive time..

Moved 1/8 front to back..no chamge on camber or other side castor

Test drive great..seems to after turn now it tries to center automatically now ..
one high speed run (for me anyway) @100 feels like 50..Straight
im happy and technically I’m within inspection criteria..im stopping..throwing away greased vinyl home depot roll..have enough for 10 alignments...
so 1/8 inch spacer move increases caster on mine 2.4 degrees
i can see now how im approaching max caster..not by how much thread left or shim packs..but that manual says no more than 0.4 inch difference between shim packs...thats not much....

Passenger side shows 3.75 so with the adjustments you made you are right where you need to be.
