How much do you think it is worth?
There is a Corvette for sale about 45 minutes away from me.
its a 1980 L82 automatic with aftermarket sidepipes.
It had aluminum alloy wheels with decent tires and decent paint. I couldnt see the interior too well, but the seat covers look OK, the back cargo area looked OK too, I was looking in through bubbling tint so couldnt see it so well.
All in in all, it looked like a decent Vette.
Assuming the drivetrain is solid, how much would yall expect this to be going for?
I was thinking 6-7K.
I am considering calling, but I wanted to have an idea of how much it would be worth before I called.
Any ideas would be appreciated,

Mileage is a big factor, but If very little or nothing has to be fixed, I'd say $7k sounds about right, posssibly a little more, details on the overall condition would determine the price better though. I'd call and see what he's asking and go from there. Good Luck :cheers:

I see alot for sale in that price range. If its not beat you should do ok. Wait till some of the longer term owners here tell you some of the specific things to look for on these cars though. good luck. btw, I paid 6200 for my 77. :cheers:

I just checked on NADA website for the car you describe and they came up with the following figures: low retail- $8450.00 average retail $14050.00 and high retail of $19,000.00. Seems pretty high to me but that's what they stated.

Sorry, I have to agree, 6-7K might be too low.

You can search, look at, and determine what most cars are worth, and more importantly - what you want to pay.
Good reference web site, use it to your advantage.

80 is a great year. First year of integrated front and rear spoilers and last year of non-computer controlled carb. Plus it's an L82. The only prob I'd have with it is the auto tranny but that's me. :rolleyes:
I'd agree with the others - in great condition, $7-9k would be a great deal if paint and interior are exceptional.

Well..The car is gone.... I went by there again the other day and it was not there....
