Default Front squeaking noise

So today I added 8 inch spring bolts from Van Steel to lower the rear a bit and the install went fine. I decide to take the wife out for a ride. After about 20 miles I start hearing a squeaky noise. I thought it was the rear as I installed new bushings. But the more I drive it is the front and only going over bumps etc. I have had car for 3 years and never a issue.
I added a front sway bar about 2 months ago and adjustable QA1 shocks. I have driven the car 500 plus miles and never a noise until today.
Could lowering the rear cause the sway bar to squeak? It is definitely the front after pushing on all 4 corner.
Any ideas?

Joey

When you did the front did you use poly-bushings on the swaybar?
If so, one of the side-effects is if the grease wears/washes off they will sometimes squeak, might be just a coincidence that it started now

Yes
They are poly. Just strange it started after I changed the spring bolts. I am going to do some more testing today to see what is causing it. I thought maybe lowering the rear changed something on the front.

Dropping the rear will have some (little) affect on the front but it shouldn't be a lot (caster changes a little so in theory the toe also changes but we're talking a tiny tiny amount)
Go for the low hanging fruit first

Well I have eliminated the front sway bar as I removed it today. Drive around and still there. It seems to be when the suspension really moves that causes it. Not just little bumps.
The bushings look fine in the a arms. Could the new QA1 shocks be causing the noise?

Thanks

I believe the QA1 use a poly lower bushing as well as the top, try just loosening the tops and spray a little white grease under/over the top cushions, maybe even just leave them "finger tight" and go up/down the street (if nothing else it'll be entertaining)

Looks like it was the top of the strut rod making the noise. Greased up the bushing and the noise stopped when I was pushing on the car. Road test next. Thanks again for the help.

Joey
so it was the rear? Did you replace strut bushings or spring bushings in rear?

It was the front passenger side that was squeaking. The poly bushing that sits on top of the A arm was making the noise.

Before this I changed to lower spring bolts and replaced the bushings back there too. But that was not the noise issue. Just really strange the front starting making noise after I did this.
