I need to remove the hood on my 69 big block coupe in order to install a Vintage Air kit. I found several old posts on how to safely remove the hood and mark the bracket location for reinstall
my question is how to safely temporarily store the hood. I assume bracket side down and lean against the wall? I am trying to be very careful not to scratch or damage in any way. I know laying flat would be the best but I do not have the floor space.
I hung my hood on a couple of pegboard hooks for storage. Flat against the wall and no damage. Shipped it to another member after it hung there for a year or so.

I got a big heavy duty folding wall mounted bicycle rack , covered the hooks with very thick foam and mounted it to the wall, of course, then covered both the top and bottom of the hood with moving blankets. I then put it nose down on the hooks and used the hood latches to strap it to the wall. Put the hooks of the straps in the latch holes and strung it up to eye hooks in the ceiling. worked great and theats the 3rd time i've put it there
