Default Temperature sensor wire

I have a '69 big block that just lost the wire to the temperature sender. Still connected to the sender, it just fell off from where ever it was connected on the other end.
Anybody know where that wire connects? I can't find a broken end or any sign of where it may have come from. Pictures would be the most help...and thanks!

On a 69 big block the sensor wire comes up and out of the harness just below the wire loom hangar that attaches to the back of the alternator. Below is my 69 427 with the original wire harness and my finger is right where the sensor wire separates from the rest of the harness.

That is a great picture! Mine came from the other direction (from the rear of the engine) but I will see if I can find an opening in that wire bundle somewhere towards the back.. My motor is not original to the car, which may explain the difference.

On my 69 small block the wire comes from the same spot as shown in the picture.

I looked at some older pictures of mine--yup, you are correct! Mine also comes from the area described. Thanks for the help.
