So I have been trying to get my PW adjusted on my 75. I have replaced the track hardware, but where the glass rests against the weather strip there is a lot of pressure. So much that I’m afraid the glass could break and there is no more adjustment to be had. I inherited the car from my father who bought it as a project. I can’t say that the door/window ever worked properly. I am wondering if I should reset the door? I’m thinking that if I remove a shim or two from the bottom door hinge it might relive the pressure enough from the glass and allow it to be adjusted. Thoughts?
Door hinge shims do not affect the glass in the door. If the glass is slow to raise\lower in the door, the glass is binding, probably on track alignment. Post pics.

My 75 the right window comes up slow and hard it's a roll up. I looking like and see this white roller rolling around looks like it's not really on the axle anymore. So there's stuff in those guts that can go bad that are Beyond just Lube. Although lubing everything up always helps.

I have been fighting adjustment on my 1980 since i replace regulators and weather stripping. Its been a royal pain in the butt. If I get a good seal when you open the door and close it back it hangs on the weather stripping. When you fix that if you roll the window down it stops at top before it seals. I have followed printed instructions to the T but finally accepted best as i could get on the passenger door. Open door roll window up and close door that way i have a good seal and no wind noise. Fortunately I have great a/c so window isnt down that much any way. Not perfect but its good enough for now since i usually drive on weekends and in good weather.
Thanks all, yeah C3 doors are frustrating to say the least. I changed the track but perhaps I will need to replace the rollers too. They didn’t seem bad, but I didn’t compare them to new. Regardless of that, I’m still concerned that the the door will not close with the window up all the way. I have wondered if the door had been hit but there are no signs of damage from within. I‘ll post pictures soon, maybe that will make more sense.
If you are speaking of the drivers door, that are used the most, how are the hinges and pins? Does the door close ok, are the gaps all around the closed door equal? Compare to the other door.

No,it’s actually the passenger side door. The gaps do seem uniform and there is little to no play in the hinges, but it has been repainted and could have been “massaged” when they did that. I ordered new parts which should be in next week. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that that does the trick.
