Default Park Brake Adjust

Went to adjust my parking brakes on my 66 today. Got the car rear on stands, loosened the park cable removed wheels and proceeded to adjust the shoes. Only to find that the adjust holes are blocked from the studded back plate. Am I correct to say that calipers, pads and hard break line have to be removed, rotor must also come off and the realigned with adjust hole behind rotor?

You will have to remove the caliper but don't undo the brake lines just hang the caliper (by the caliper, not the lines) out of the way.

K. Am just a bit concerned about hanging the caliper with the hard brake line in place. Was gonna bleed system down anyway to replace fluid. Thanks for the info and the linc!

You really only need to lift the caliper off far enough to pull the disc off the hub. Remove the hard line to rubber hose clip on the trailing arm to facilitate free-er movement so that the hard line isn't taking the stress.
