Default Electric fan

Since I don’t have heat or air but have circuit in place,is there an easy way to just hook up auxiliary cooling fan to manually use fan on the days she runs a little warm. Thanks

My electric fan just requires a ground so if the switch supplies power ,it won’t work. You could run a wire to the switch then ground the other side and it will work

I just thought if you could use the circuit that has the heat/ac fan and use the fan speed switch to manually operate it would make for a slick setup on my 79-L82. Just kicking around ideas. I figure there is already power, ground and a relay in place so I should be able to disconnect blower motor and hook fan to that if amp draw is similar. If not then I will just get a kit. Thanks for replying

No, the cooling fan might be as high as 3 times the amount the heater fan consumes. So you”ll have to run new wires and a bigger breaker and if possible, a fan controller is even a better idea As it will slowly ramp up your fan and
use less power to monitor the temperature. I use Deraile

Thanks, when I bought the car someone had burned the engine harness and I replaced it so will just get a switch and relay kit and do it right.
