I got the slide hammer/ puller today and $25 later and 5 minutes it came out. Just needed the right tool. New bearing is in and ready to go too!

I just realized I put the bearing in backwards. More perseverance...maybe more checkbook if I need a new bearing...

Oops. Get another. The puller will distort it, and its too much work to take that chance.

Why? Do you know more the Tremec transmission company? Align the bell-housing and use the roller bearing. Its going to have less friction on the input shaft and improve shifting ability. No modern OEM car is using a solid brass bushing.
