81 vette rocker pannel removeal
I posted earlier looking for removal of the side panel removal also called the rocker panel. did not get any useable info. so here goes.
there are 6 taper head bolts with phillips screw heads, tried getting thread removal PB blaster into the threads for a week no luck. so took a drill with a 1/4 bit and cut off all the heads. from front to back the first 2 have nuts on them the next 3 have inserts into the body with 1/4 X 20 threads I was able to get 2 of the threaded studs out with a little heat the one i could not get out i drilled out the insert the last one is also a 1/4 X 20 nut and taper head bolt.just posting this so some one dont pull there hair out like i did at first
