Decided to restore my hardtop a few weeks ago and I now have over $800 in it. Vinyl Cover $40.00
New rear glass $299.00
Clips and glass rope $25.00
Install Vinyl $150.00
New Rubber Gaskets $260.00
Stainless Steel Tips $55.00
And I'm not done yet. But it sure is starting to look great. Need to do some painting on the interior vinyl and fix some bubbles.
Has anyone ever installed the rear glass themselves? Is there a tech paper or instructions out there on this?
are you trying to make me feel good about the hardtop i just bought? :) I saw those tips - thought they would be a nice add-on, but a little pricey! MJ
MNJack, Yeh, hope it makes you feel better, if I remember you paid around $350 for your top. Mine didn't really cost me anything, as it came with the car, until I started to restore it that is. :smash:
Are you putting the vinyl on yourself or having someone do it? I was looking at mine the other day and everything on it is really good shape, rubber isn't cracked, glass perfect, all it needs is vinyl put back on it.
