Default Ride Height / proper stance pics?

First time poster, long time listener....

I picked up a 1972 coupe a week ago and am going through it fixing some stuff that needed to be addressed. I'll make a thread about this process later, but for now one of the things I'm correcting is the tires. The tires on it are the wrong size (235/6015 = too short), black wall, way old, and worn out. I'm having some 225/70/15 BFG T/A's put on it on Thursday because God intended these cars to have RWL tires. The car came equipped with the full VB&P adjustable kit with composite front and rear springs, tubular control arms, etc. Looks like a nice setup. It should also allow me to dial in the proper ride height. But, what is the "proper" ride height. Some of these cars just sit perfect, look angry-sexy, and others something is just "off". I'd like to achieve the former. I've searched but I can't find a thread on ride height. If it exists, please point me in that direction. If not, I'd appreciate any input, pics, measurements, etc. Thanks!

Measurments P and R is where you notice the stance. (C60 code is air conditioning.)

Good stuff. Thanks! I'll probably aim at the F41 heights as a starting point. If anyone has pics of specific ride heights to share, that'd be a valuable resource I think.

Hi Dave and WELCOME! To me, proper stance on these cars - any car for that matter - means everything. Here’s a somewhat recent photo of my ‘72 base convertible without AC. I worked hard, tweaking springs, etc to get all four corners within the AIM specifications shown in this thread. My tweaking has brought the car to between nominal and high in what I would say are a GENEROUS tolerance range as specified by GM engineering. What was “good enough” then would get someone fired today.

Hope this helps.
Don

Here's an easier to read set of measurements - and year specific:
https://tech.corvettecentral.com/201...-height-guide/
Note that these are measuring the clearance to the frame between the wheels.

After my last rebuild, we used all Ridetech suspension and coil over shocks for adjustability. Ultimately happy with the outcome.

Here is my stock suspension 72 with the same size BFG's on it. I haven't measured the ride height but I can if you like.

Brian, your 73 sits really nice. Looks like the 72 sits a little higher in the back? Maybe just pictures?

Yeah, if you could measure to the top of the wheel arch front and rear, that'd be great!

I’m the odd duck with 16” hoops. Old Gotti 3-piecers shod with 235/65 Bridgestone tires. Coil overs front/rear.
