Ignition switch adjustment
Is this a thing? The actual switch not the tumbler. Took my car for a test drive after working on the fuel system yesterday, came back turned the key off the shut off like normal but the gauges didnt shut off. Spent the last hr or so removing the switch from on top of the column and decide to test it. gauges come on and shut off when pulled back.

You are correct, the switch is mounted to a bracket with slotted holes so the switch can be adjusted.Have a read of this Jim Shea paper,
