Hi everyone. Today I was replacing my high beam switch, and I discovered some additional damage, that I am not sure how to repair. 1.) The high beam rod that goes into the switch came completely out of the column, so, I can't test it with the switch in the column( see picture). How can I get it back inside the column attached to the rod?
Second item, is that I discovered 2 broken plastic pieces on the column at the bottom. (See Photos). Are these serviceable and how the heck do I get them off to replace them? I'm not even sure what parts they are?
I'm still a newbie at this level of restoration work, so appreciate any others wisdom who have dealt with this before.
Thank you in advance, K. High beam rod out Broken column pieces
