I've useed a few different models such as Snap on, Mac, CP, and different IRs. I would without a doubt recommend the IR thunder gun. I was using a IR231 until a mechanic friend of mine, let me try one of his thunder guns. The power is unbelieveable, undercarriage bolts on these rusty midwestern bodies come off with little problem. I got mine of ebay for $135, i think northern tool has them for around $180. I don't own a lighting rachet yet but its a hell of a rachet as well. The SnapOn 18 volt rechargable is a trick little unit if you only use it for limited use, such as changing rims. Hope this helps, erik
