shifter needs facelift
Thwe auto shifter on my '81 looks pretty bad. I'm replacing the **** and button but the rod is rusty and looks bad too. I can't find anywhere that sells such a rod without buying a whole new shifter. Is there any way I can get a new rod or am I stuck having to buy a hurst.(I'd prefer not to because cash is tight) Thanks.

I am going to be putting a 4 spd in my car pretty soon,, well hopefully in the next 2 months. I only have to pick up a couple more small items and get the 79 on the road. I would be willing to do a trade for the whole shifter. Do you have any parts laying around?? If not you pay the shipping and I will send it to you. I am hoping to have it in and the car back on the road by "Winter fest " that is Jan 18,19,20. Let me know.

Just looked at your webpage. Very impressive restoration job. I hope mine turns out that nice.
I'm very interested in your shifter. I went look around the shop and i seriously doubt I have any parts that you'd want. Everything taken out of my car is really ragged out. Just tell me how much shipping will be and I'll send you a check. I'll send you an email with my address. :cheers:
