Good evening
forum mates I replaced the blower switch on my 72 AC equipped car and a blue wire appeared that doesn't seem to have a home anywhere. I checked the plugs that attach to the switch and all wires appear to be accounted for. Does anyone know where this wire is to go? I do not see any tabs that would be home for this wire. Thanks in advance for your assistance Kevin
From the 73 wiring schematic the Lt. Blue wire goes to the “Cigarette Lighter Illuminator,” also know as a bulb. The bulb is inside a small bullet shaped affair that attaches to the round barrel of the lighter. Mine falls off as soon as I remove the console, the wire is really too short.
The light blue wire came out of the brown plug right next to the wire it fell out while trying to plug the plug back into the new switch anyway had to bend the prong so it wouldn't fall out again and push it back in with needle nose. My cigarette lighter wire is orange, Thanks Eli I appreciate the effort
