Default New Delphi Ball Joints Installed

While waiting on a new needle and seat for my carb I decided to install new ball joints since the uppers were the originals and the lowers over 30 years old. Reading the horror stories about removing the lowers I bought a pitman arm removal tool and they literally came out in 60 seconds! Very happy about that. Overall took about a day to replace all four, but I had my 15 year old son with me and letting him do a lot of the work so he can learn. I decided to buy the Delphi ball joints over MOOG Just to try something different. Theses are their premium line ball joints. The uppers are much taller than stock. The lowers were not different. They seemed to be better than stock, but can’t compare them with any other ball joints as this is my first time doing this. The hardware that came with the ball joints seemed “OK”. Not sure the grade of the bolts and the nuts were nylon locking. I did have to drill out the holes on the upper control arms as the bolts were slightly larger than the factory rivets. Haven’t have a chance the drive the car yet to see the difference, but the old ones were pretty worn out so I am excited to see the difference.
