Default Gas Gauge or Sending Unit?

In my 82 CE, I recently replaced my sending unit as the gas gauge would not register below half. Now my gas gauge is pegged past full! More like a4 o'clock position. It stays in this position always.
When I first installed the sending unit, I saw the gauge register from E to F and back down, so I thought all was good. When the install was completed I started the car and the gauge went to full and when I drove it, it would only move when I turned a corner. Now it just stays in a 4 o'clock position.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem may be? Gas Gauge maybe or bad sending unit or ground wire or what. Not sure what to do next.

Check the plug at the filler. Mine fell off after I changed my sending unit, and it was not connected well. Always check the last thing that was done.
