Hey guys and gals, I was looking for recommendations for upgrading my brake calipers and rotors on my 81. I want to keep my factory wheels but since my calipers need replacing I figured I’d upgrade if I could.

I thought about an 'upgrade' but for a weekend toy, the stock brakes were my choice.
You can't see my rotors or calipers because I have aftermarket wheels, so no one could see powder coated calipers or shiny rotors anyway.
For Street driving, Stainless Steel OEM calipers with Braided SS hoses (less flexing, more consistent linear brake pedal feel) and a high performance brake pad like Hawk HPS or Performance Friction Carbon Metallics....A traditional Semi Metallic pad will work well too...NO Ceramics, which are primarily designed for low dust and no noise but not for performance..........generally
