Ive already got the 13 inch willwood 6 pot conversion, but on a recent trackday, was getting brake fade and spongy pedal, maybe need better brake pads, got the high temp fluid, the willwood brake disc is quite narrow compared to racecar brake discs, has anyone managed to fit a a disc with more meat on it or different brakes?
also considering the thermbloc pistons and maybe the 14inch wilwood rotor
what is the best willwood brake pad for track racing?
78 c3 with twin turbo, around 900+ crank horsepower, so needs some decent brakes

None of the Wilwood brake pads performed well for me at the track. Faded or didn't last very long. For track days I am using Raybestos ST 47 pads with the wilwood D8-6 / D8-4 calipers Stop Tech cryro treated rotors (factory size)
Castrol SRF brake fluid to provide the best firm pedal as brake temp climb.
So what's the fastest speed / braking zone at the track you are driving. If you want big brakes on a C3 corvette and money isn't a issue. You can look at ridetech's Track 1 options.
They have options first to improve the front suspension (coilover with adjustable shocks) C7 bearing HUBS and the use of c6 corvette specs calipers. Now this isn't a brake only option, but usually big brake kits require a different spindle / hub setup and ridetech has all the parts from 1 place.

Hey thanks for reply, the speeds would be 130 mph braking hard down to 40 mph, iam going to maybe try 14inch wilwood disc, i can use the same 6pot wilwood caliper ive already have and try some of the wilwood racing pads, already got good brake fluid in there, if still having issues will try the brake pads you mentioned, not sure if they have them in the wilwood 6pot caliper size?, if iam still struggling then the ridetech options sounds interesting
