Rear end info
I have been rebuilding a chevy 12 bolt rear end for my IROC and thought some of the parts look like the same parts in my corvette rear end. So I did a little measuring and internet checks. Some of you already know this but for those that don't. 12 bolts parts that are interchangeable with C3 rears up to 79.
carrier shims
pinion shims
pinion yoke ( proper universal size )
pinion nut
bearing caps
posi clutches
posi spring plate ( I think )
posi springs ( I think )
If you put the larger cross pin in, then the spider pinions and thrust washer are the same.
If you upgrade to the 30 spline stubs then the side gears are also the same.
