77, tilt telescope, no shift interlock cable this year
I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, so I thought I'd throw it out there if anyone has any words of wisdom before I attempt this task in the next week or two hopefully.
I was able to pull it out, so it does seem straight forward. Two bolts on the fire wall, two bolts on the rag joint, two bolts to hold up the column on the inside, then all of the plugs that just plug in.
Since the column is out now, check both ignition and dimmer switches for proper adjustment.
If the dimmer switch is not adjusted properly it will put allot of stress on the wiper/washer pot metal pivot bracket.

This is GREAT information....thanks! That's the only part that worries me. I do know the rebuilder is putting a new ignition switch on, so I'm assuming it'll be all set or will I need to tweak that during my install?
