All of the rear lights work nicely on my '75 except the right brake/turn/hazard light. The filament for the normal light works but the brighter one for the brakes does not. I have pulled out the fixture and the ground is good and the normal light gets 12v, but at no point does the brake light contact get any voltage. Where is the best place to start tracing this, could it be a bad fitting in the firewall? The left light works fine for the hazards and turn signal so it seems it has to be in the wire to the light somewhere.
In the harmonica connector at the steering column, check the Green wire, if no power there, then the signal switch is the problem.
Thanks, the green wire had been cut an connected to another wire at some point in the car's history. The signal from the stub was good and I confirmed that the wire in the harness along the door sill was good so I jumpered it and now all is well.
