Taillight stainless trim rings
Luckily I noticed one of my stainless taillight rings on the garage floor before taking the car out for a drive. I checked all the other rings and a couple more are loose. I checked out some related CF threads and saw that this is a fairly common issue and people just glued them back on; however, I didn't see any specifics on the type of glue that was used.
Does anyone know if there is a recommended glue for this application? I was thinking about using a metal/plastic epoxy that I saw at a local hardware; it was recommended for outdoor applications.
I had a few loose ones when I converted to the 7t2vette halo rings and used a silicone adhesive applied with a toothpick. I figure the little bit of flex it provides would be good, same for trim and emblems etc

If you get the 5 minute version, wait a couple minutes until it starts to harden then use a good quality tooth pick and peel away the excess, for a clean application. I'll subscribe to this thread to see if others have a better recommendation.
You're lucky you were able to save the part that fell off.
Yeah, I felt lucky when I saw it on the garage floor; it was a few days after I drove the car about 60 miles on a cruise! I would have never found it!!! lol
I thought about using JB Weld, but I never used it for metal to plastic. Thanks for the suggestion.

I thought about using a silicone adhesive for it's flexing characteristics as well; I figured that may help with road vibrations.
