I drove the vette around town and then 2 hrs. later, it would not start. No crank, no windows, no horn, no lights. I replaced the battery and still nothing. This is the first vette that we have owned and do not know what our next step is to fixing this problem. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your input, this is a nice forum to belong to and I have learned so much in the last few days! We are thinking that it is electrical, so we will be starting with the ground wires to make sure they are connected. If so, then it is on to the fuse links. Hopefully we can trace the problem. I am looking for an electrical diagram today.
The 79 and other years had an aluminum ground cable and they are garbage. Don't waste your time with an ohm meter and playing around, CHANGE IT! They will cause you trouble.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions! We found the problem, there was a loose wire going to the starter! Tightened it down and all is well with the vette! This is a great forum!
