Re: C3 Prices (OHSIXX)
I bought mine six months or so ago. When I got it, I did a bit of shopping around but not enough, really.
I sure did though, see prices all over the board! :yesnod: Even, right after I bought mine and the time for "buyers' remorse" to set in and I kept looking at prices, I was amazed. All Summer long, I saw comparetive prices all over the board. I have not done any comparing lately but I'm sure that is still the case.
When I got mine it had recent and good paint but it needed front end, and the transmission leaked like a seive. Not to mention bald tires and an engine that had 140K miles on it. I paid $6500 cash an immediately fixed all of the above so I'm into it obviously for a lot more than that. :smash:
But I love driving the CAR! And it has proven reliable too; if I wanted to I'd drive it every day to work. Can't wait to "finish it for now" by putting the 383 in it. I don't really care what others sell at. Mine is gonna be here for a while!
:iagree: I hear you, I was at the show also and the prices were high! BTW did you see that Green 57 Chevy Station Wagon for sale for 7500? I would have had to think hard for 1000 bucks. I guess they figure there is a sucker born everyday. But I don't think even suckers are that dumb!
I think that some people are just crazy thinking they can get these asking prices. Just look at the collector car section of the http://www.traderonline.com
some of these asking prices are way over what they are worth. :bs
There was a 69 Vert for sale for $14500.. The car basically needed everything... Interior, paint, chrome... and much more. The frame also had some rust.. The car was worth maybe $5k but not $14.5k...
