Default Where does this go?

I have a condenser-capicator looking thing mounted to the rear of my instrument panel around the clock area. There is a 4inch black wire with a male connector end on this piece but I can't tell where that end went. Can't tell from the AIM. Thanks,Telk Sorry for not giving year 1969

This is a long shot, but I think it goes to the radio and is a capistor. I had one which was on my dash inside and went to the old radio. :bb

The capacitor is part of the optional radio system. Place the copper tab next to the tang on the back of the clock and slip the power lead over both. When the clock “winds” it draws power and the capacitor prevents you from hearing a click on the radio. There is a similar capacitor taped to the wires that connect to the brake light switch under the dash. On my car it looks like Buba installed it. Well maybe he did but at the time he was working in St. Louis for GM. A third capacitor is on the side of the distributor. They are in the AIM manual. You well find them in the radio section.
