Just finished up replacing a leaking hose on my '81.
It has the Borgeson ps kit on it.
The new hoses shipped with three of these new brass bushings.
After replacing the hoses I had another leak at the return fitting in the gear box.
Turns out these brass bushings apparently don't last through too many times of the tightening of the nut.
The brass bushing in the return orifice of the gearbox needed to be changed as that was where the new leak originated.
Took an easy out to get a grip on the inside of the brass bushing to remove it.
Replaced the brass bushing and it sealed up fine.
THE BOTTOM LINE...
Replace these little bushings in the back of the pump and in the gear box when you are replacing the pump or hoses.
