did o rings/piston/springs seals on calipers 10+ years ago, they were from CSSB, got new o rings/seals this week from sponsor here and the new ones are larger/thicker.
the pistons with new o rings are tight and no retraction with springs?
is that normal?
thoughts?

Did you replace just the o-rings and not the pistons? I did mine recently and also noticed the o-rings, which were a red silicone material, were much fatter than the black ones I've seen. I also replaced the pistons and springs. I'm wondering if you have to use a new, appropriate piston with a new o-ring. Maybe check with whoever you bought the o-rings from.

The silicone o rings and new seals were just fine. Went right in with no problems and no leaks. I don't use the car much so thought the o rings would be a good choice from everything I've read here.

I just did the Oring conversion from CSSB last spring.....they are still around. Maybe you should send the orings back and go with CSSB again
