Default Brake caliper

Hello ,hope all is well with everyone. I go into my garage to check on my car (71)and start it up so I back it and I see fluid on the floor. When I see the fluid right by my drivers front wheel I say to myself no way not again. I remove the wheel yes the caliper is leaking from the seam .

So I bought the calipers over a year ago ,so I’m sure there not going to exchange it for me. Has anybody else had any problems with the rebuilt delco calipers.

I'm sure over the decades something like this has happened and there are many rebuilders, so buy a rebuild kit and repair it.

Agree, a rebuild is relatively easy. You could do it yourself or have a brake shop do it for you. Or you could buy a rebuilt caliper and return this one as the core. If you have lip seals (original OEM style), they can leak over time if the car sits. If you want a longer term solution, get calipers with o-ring style piston seals.

Thank you for your replies. The caliper is only a year old that I purchased rebuilt and it started leaking so I think I’m gonna go with buying a rebuild kit and rebuilding myself it’s only leaking in between where the two halfs meet must be o ring that is leaking. I Purchased all new calipers for my car and I did a total brake job and out of the four calipers I had to replace return the twice four times. So now I will be purchasing the rebuilding kit to rebuild the caliper, again thank you very much for your responses .
