Default What is or where does this wire go?

I am working on restoring my son's 1979 corvette with him for his 1st car. We have ran into a snag. We pulled the motor and did a head and cam swap. Reinstalled the engine and everything back to where it's supposed to go. Except this one wire.... It's light green and runs down the RH/passenger side of the car. Long enough to reach the radiator. But it's not the fan plug. I took these pics and they are not great. Showing the connector and the color of the wire. The wiring schematics by the color looks like it might be headlights or horn. Headlights work normal. Horn does not. But that wire is not hot when I press the horn. Any help will be appreciated.

I believe your correct. I didn't even know there was such a thing. This car didn't have that on it when we started working someone had previously removed it. (This car was previously restored early 90s)

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, because your 79 is a manual transmission the A/C harness excluded that wire.
The wire color at your compressor should be Dk.Green and cycles on/off through the compressor control switch (Thermostatic Switch).
The idle stop Solenoid wire (Lt.Green) is spliced in before the Low Pressure Cutoff switch.
The reason they spliced it in where they did is the Solenoid would be energized anytime the slide selector switch was in the NORM or MAX A/C position so the Solenoid would not cycle on/off when the compressor does.
