I ordered the manual window crank housing to rebuild the driver side (left hand) door window crank from Ecklers. The part received is not even close. I looked at several other suppliers and they have the same wrong part. I found the correct part on ebay but it is for the passenger side (RH) correct part 3945241 LH on car Wrong part . description is OK, but part is wrong part in ASM
and I believe it will not fit the other side. The correct part has 3945241 LH stamped on it. see photos of part, part in ASM and the wrong Ecklers part. 1) does anyone know if the RH and LH door parts are interchangeable? 2) does anyone have the correct part to sell?
OK, I may have solved my own problem. I found a used LH housing on ebay and also ordered the new bushing for it. Let's see if this works so my window goes up like it should.
I don't think anyone produces the crank housing - ebay was the right way to go.
The part you ordered is for rebuilding the window regulator which the crank housing attaches to.
JUST looked at ecklers and they do have that part in your first pic, is that what you need. did you find one. I have some leftover 68 parts, but i would have to dig.
