We still don't know if the OP installed a 'kinked' straight hose in place of the molded hose. If so, that's the OP's problem. If not....we need to hear more.

Yes used the hoses there as I didn't see any leaks/cracks from them
A fuel starvation situation is harder to acknowledge than a flooding issue. Usually the carb is soaked, sometimes the Intake is wet, black soot out the back.
But your nose will be the first thing to pick up on flooding.

Very easy to determine the difference. If you go out and accelerate aggressively does the engine cut out during that acceleration (not initial accelerator actuation that is a different issue) or does it continue to run.
If it dies or cuts in and out it's fuel starvation.
If it runs and continues to run, it may burble a lot if really rich, but once you try to idle it cuts out then it's flooding.
