Default Which BorgWarner T5 to pick?

Hi guys ( and galls),

I bought my car with a 4.11 rear. Great for short acceleration, terrible when driving 75mph with my TH350 auto trans.
Anyway, I've been looking into swapping in either a 200R4 or a manual T5 from Borg Warner.
Finding a (used) box is terrible on this side of the ocean, so I have to grab what I can get.
Found someone with a 200R4, but has already been disasembled for 700$.
But, also found someone with 2 T5 transmissions.
My question is, which one should I pick.
The code on both transmissions starts with 1352-065.
I know 1 of the transmissions is a 1352-065-914, being chevy I think that's the winner. Other trans I don't know and will see saturday when I'm travelling through the half of europe to see them.
I found a list online with possible codes :

"Main Case CASTING NUMBERS:
13-52-065-001 Early NON-WC such sd 1982 Chevette
13-52-065-003 Early NON-WC S-10
13-52-065-901 82 NON-WC GM CHEVETTE
13-52-065-903 82-83 NON-WC GM
13-52-065-904 83-84 NON-WC Ford (Also used in Astro Mini Vans around 1986.)
13-52-065-908 85-91 World Class Ford
13-52-065-913 83-87 NON-WC Camaro/Firebird
13-52-065-914* World Class 88/92 Camaro/Firebird & 93 S-10 V-6
13-52-065-916* Newer NON-WC Camaro/Firebird S-10
13-52-065-921 91-95 World Class Ford - With and without the reverse spring anchor
This case is also used in some WC S-10's
13-52-065-922* 96+ World Class Ford & GM - With and without the reverse spring anchor
This case is used in Mustangs, Camaros and S-10s "

Which one of these would be the best pick?

If anyone has any other info to share on a T5 swap, I'm all ears!

Cheers

T5's are PLENTIFUL... and cheap as dirt here, even decent ones. Is it that expensive to ship one from America? You could take your pick ov hundreds ov boxes and prices, maybe even get a warranty.

Shipping is about 350$ and about 500$ for an automatic. Not cheap, not too excessive either depending on item price and condition.
But the most difficult is finding someone who has such an item and wants to ship it to Belgium ( not looking at buying new, Summit and the likes would be more than happy to send me one... )
A junkyard that ships internationally would certainly be a good business idea!

Dusky, Did 2 vettes with them and went with what I believe to be the version you're considering. Both were from the late camaros and firebirds, both WC, and both have the mechanical speedo hook up.

There's tons of info and plenty of my pics posted here on the forum for this swap. Just give it a search.
Basic mods are shorter driveshaft, rear trans mount, and shifter location over to the left a few inches to look correct. It makes it a completely different car and worth the work.

don't use the casting number for identification. Use the tag number. there are several usable models but -176 seems to be the most sought after (manual speedo gear)

The info I posted was copied from the 2nd site ( as the first doesn't give much info for the different versions of the 065)

that site primarily tells you how to identify which case will bolt up to the bellhousing. A mustang case will not directly bolt to a stock chevy bellhousing. you want a case with the 4 ears like this...

For a mild v8 you will also want the U code world class trans with the 2.76 first gear. You will also want a manual speedo gear for ease of installation. that leads most to a -176 as it is a U code with .63 5th gear, manual speedo and is a WC.
