77 Door Latch

77 Door Latch

Finally got the passenger door open (Thanks for the advice folks) and pulled the door panel, I've lubed the little beastie and it still won't work. While locked it will keep the door closed but won't un-lock...when unlocked it won't keep the door closed. I can't find an obvious flaw like a broken spring. Are the latches repairable? None of my Vette parts books show a replacement. As always any advice would be most appreciated.

Sounds like its time for a new one :( your GM # 9718280. have you checked the door handle rod? :smash:

Don't buy a new one.........go over to the parts section of C-3 and post your looking for one. I just got one for $22 BUCKS. Bets the heck out of $219 for a new one.
