Tach problems 1980 Vette
tach not working properly
power to ground is good continuity is good from tach to coil new filter goes to 0 when key turned on no scope to check that side of problem
Tried a new board and that did not work at all.
The issue is when idling it goes to 250 even when cold starting and choke on it idles down but the needle stays the same. Unless I rev it up to half trottle or more then the needle will jump up to 4500 or so and drop down to 200 to 300.
Any idea what I may be overlooking or where the problem may be?
