So what is this thing?
I have not purchased an owners manual (for $25), so what is the small **** just to the left of the heater/AC control panel on the console of my 81?
I am hoping for something exotic, James Bondish,...ie ejection seat, machine gun, oil slick??

If it is to the right of the heater/AC controls... Its' the rear window defroster switch
If its to the left its' the fan switch... :seeya

got lines in the back window ??
It's the defroster then.
If not, then it's not a stock switch.
Give it a try, but make sure to be outside and have the t-tops off in case it's an ejector button !!

To the left of my A/C controls is the rear defog switch. On the '81 the light is in the end ot the toggle switch, not at the base (just try finding one of these switches! :mad ). I think the rear window defog was the most popular option for '81, with only about 4000 cars made not having it fitted (how's that for a gem of useless information?!).
