Default Harmonica wire question

While having dash lighting and turn signal and brake light issues...ugh... I noticed that my Harmonica does not have the same wires going in that it has coming out. May be stupid question by should they be? I almost feel that the may have switched out the telescoping, tilt column at some point form another auto. Thanks in advance.

What you have is the correct harmonica- OEM style wires all correct

If you notice the wires going into the steering column- are black and the stripe matches the wire on the other side.

In fact this past weekend I replaced the harmonica connector with a Deutsch connectors- so I'm real familiar with those wires....

I agree your H/C is wired correctly.
Now test each wire for continuity, you may not have a good connection from one side to the other.
The chart I posted has the information about what wire gets power. and when.

Hi Richard454,
I'm curious why you changed the connection,
Pete

I modded the steering column quite a bit- took the ignition switch out and put the wiper controls in place- also converted it to electric power steering.

The deutsch connectors are simple to take apart- and super easy run inside the column adding the extra wires.

I'm using these through out my car-

Thank you. When I got home today I changed rear tail lights hoping it would solve my problem and when I started up the car 4 lights on dash started flashing like the flashers. Flashers were not on. I haven’t changed anything that would do this. I am so lost.
