:seeya Reach up through the hole underneath the headlight housing in front of the air dam and you'll feel the locking support bar that "locks" the lights in the up position. Grab the middle of the Knee loint in the locking bar and pull slightly forward and down. :smash: This will unlock the joint and you will be able to push the lights down :yesnod: :seeya
:seeya They will not go all the way down by themselves! Down is a vacuum function, just like up. You will have to push them down to close them completely. Just be gentle and you won't have a problem. :seeya
:seeya All my springs are in place and not broken. I suppose if your in no great hurry, you can wait for them to go all the way by themselves. After all this discussion, I went out and tried mine and they will close after yyou get them pas a certain point. However, you will not damage anything by gently pushing them down. The key word is GENTLY. If he has corroded or unlubricated pins and bushings, it will be the only way they'll go all the way down. I'm not the one with the problem, CORVETTELVR73 is, so why would one infer there is something wrong with my lights? :(
Not knocking yours! I was just going on the way mine work and agreeing with the other post because a buddie of mine's lights didn't go down by themselves because of broken springs. Mine go down within 5 seconds of doing the 'knee jerk'.
 Mine take about 7 seconds, and at my age that seems like an eternity. :D anyway, they work like there supposed to when I turn them on and off. Except for this thread, I haven't done the 'knee jerk' thing in 2 years :)
