Default Wiring issue

I briefly asked this on another thread but I feel I should make it’s own thread over here. I am fixing the wiring issues that bubba left for me and I got my courtesy lights to work (except for drivers footwell as I don’t have the socket yet). Today I pulled the speedometer and tach assembly to fix the wires behind there and now the courtesy lights don’t work. I have power to the orange wires but I also have it to the white wire. Any help would be greatly appreciated I do have the aim but it’s not been the most helpful. Thanks

It’s a 69 I apologize I should’ve included that.

I think I figured it out. Looks like the ground wire came out of the rear light socket and was touching the orange giving it the 12 v. I disconnected it and checked it and I no longer have current at the white wire and the courtesy lights work again. That’s enough for tonight. I work the next 3 days so I’ll go back to it Monday and Tuesday
