Default Thoughts on this 1969 L88?

Saw this on eBay. Anyone know the car? Thoughts on originality?

I’m a C2 owner, but L88 always gets my attention. Looks very clean, but engine stamp looks odd.

I never understand why people spend tons of money to restore a C3 and don’t even go to the trouble to replace the headlight shields.

Engine stamp pad looks like an abomination on many fronts:

Fuel filter has a return line, I believe Holley equipped C3's did not have an inline filter or a return line on the frame.

They want $174,900. A real, documented L-88 just went for $610,000 no reserve on BAT. That should tell you everything about the originality of this car.

This car has been covered a few times on this forum. The trim tag is fake also. The car is worth about $30k.

All 71 LS6 cars were built with right hand return line and Holley carb.

They have been trying to sell this car for over a year.......
My thought is (and I have said it before) if you put that much money into restoring a car, try making the front end not look like the Concorde landing.......for 160k? What a joke.
Then maybe advertise it for what it is........
It tells me that the owners of this car are nowhere near the pulse of the Corvette world.....and they are looking for a sucker.
Run.

Too much for a vette sorry real or fake. My god..lol
It would be neat to rebuild that crusty L88 and leave the outside just like it is.

My thoughts? The L-88 is probably the worstengine you could put in a boat........way too peaky and aluminum Winters heads that will corrode worse than an anode after sitting a week.
Boats want a low torque and power peak......really no more than 5500rpm......the L-88 makes peak power at 6800 or so.....
That shutoff valve at the remote oil filter housing is special too.......wow.

But the return line did not come off the inline filter like the car this thread concerns.
